Wedding ceremonies

Posted on August 1st, 2008 in General, Social

Nowadays most of the wedding ceremonies are not conducted in religious surroundings and they don’t require the blessing of God. Whilst the majority of people still opt for a traditional ceremony, more and more people are looking at new and innovative ways to get married.

When you plan wedding ceremonies, it is important to think carefully about what you hope to achieve, what sort of atmosphere are you going to create and, indeed, what your guests would enjoy. The wedding day, itself, should be planned with the bride and groom in mind; however, it is always wise to consider your guests.

Men don’t listen to women when they share they problems

Posted on July 23rd, 2008 in General, Social

The most common complain from women considering men is that they don’t listen to them. The man or completely ignore the woman when she is talking to him, or he is listening to her for just a moment, determine what bothers her. After that he immediately suggests solution to her problems to make her feel better and he is upset when she doesn’t appreciate his gesture of love . It doesn’t matter how many times she is saying that he is not listening to her and he keep doing the same over and over. The only thing that she needs is, sympathy and not solutions to her problems, as he thinks.

My first Rottweiler was Brutus (as stated above with our accomplishments) back in 1989. My first female Rottweiler that would be the foundation for my kennel line was a Doc Von Der Teufelsbrucke daughter named Quinta Von Der Silberdistel. Quinta was shown 19 times under 14 different Rottweiler judges in the USRC & ARV shows. Quinta received a V-Rating (A rating of excellent which is the best you can do) every time. She also placed in the top 4 spots 16 out of the 19 times. Quinta was V-1 at the Ottawa Valley Rottweiler Club under the ADRK’s (Allgemeiner Deutscher Rottweiler Klub) Head Kormister Willi Hedtke. Out of Quinta came Ayla Vom Gruver Haus, she was our first generation kennel line, then out of Ayla came Dunja Vom Gruver Haus, she is our second generation female. Now we have Jazzy, Jessy, and Jasmine Vom Gruver Hause to make our third generation kennel lines.

Collecting and trading silver dollar coins is a hobby

Posted on February 26th, 2008 in General, Recreation, Social

Collecting and trading silver dollar coins is a hobby many people enjoy. Silver dollar coins are rare nowadays and finding them may seem special to some. For others, a dollar is a dollar and when a silver coin comes their way, they simply spend it!

The Morgan dollar coin is a silver dollar minted originally in the late 19th century, with Miss Liberty’s face and an eagle on either side. A nickname for the coin is the “buzzard dollar” because of the somewhat gaunt look of the eagle, which looks more like a buzzard. Nonetheless, they are rare coins, as the last was made in 1921, and it’s uniqueness makes it a treasure to own.

There are some people trade coins to enhance their collection. Collectors may have a coin that is needed to complete a collection, so they will inquire about what they need from other coin collectors and offer up what they have. To trade dollar coins, one needs to possess a rare coin of your own. Most collectors have multiple dollar coins, including duplicates, so they never lose the coin for their own collection.

Silver dollar coins can be beautiful. Ones made of almost pure silver are worth more and are obviously better looking than those made of mostly copper. The United States Government has issued commemorative silver dollar coins, as well, which are released for limited times. Collectors usually save a few of these coins to trade or keep once they are no longer being produced.

A coin is worth more if it is older or less common. For especially rare coins, it does not matter as much whether they are in good condition. Newer coins, however, will see their value fluctuate depending on their condition - the better shape it is in, the more it will be worth. For instance, a Morgan dollar in Brilliant Uncirculated condition is worth a lot because it is both rare and in perfect condition.

Collecting coins requires a large amount of independent research. Buying, selling and just collecting silver dollars requires a large amount of knowledge to be successful. As with most topics, the more you know, the more successful you will become.

For others, a dollar is a dollar and when a silver coin comes their way, they simply spend it! Morgan silver dollars were placed into circulation in the late 19th century. The production of morgan dollar coins was stopped by the US government in 1921 and are now highly prized collectibles. Collectors usually trade dollar coins and other collectible coins for coins of similar value or mostly just because they want to upgrade their collection.

Saving money one ecard at a time

Posted on February 24th, 2008 in General, Finance, Internet, Social

I used to send paper greeting cards to all my friends for every birthday and holiday. One day I spent some time adding up how much I was spending on the cards (approx. $4.00 per card) and the postage. I quickly realized that I was spending a fortune on the cards I was sending. I decided I needed to cut the spending but I didn’t want to stop sending cards to my friends so I switched to ecards. Now I spend approx. $10/year to send as many ecards as I want. I was concerned I wouldn’t like the ecard options but it turns out I prefer sending ecards because there are so many choices, they are fun to create, I can schedule them in advance, and they take a lot less time to create and send than a traditional greeting card.
