Prior to 2005 bankruptcy was to be used for families who were experiencing severe money hardships. Regrettably it was abused by way too many consumers who were trying to avoid paying their debts. They didn’t want to be accountable for their misgivings. I do not think that debt settlement will go the way of credit counseling and lose its good effect but it may so keep an eye out.
